Chapter 1 - Part 4: Friend's Help

After a few days...

"The principal was the one who murdered Yasashi Izumiroshi. Yasashi's bride cried along the journey after getting know about her future husband's death. Officer Kurisuyo arrested Principal Amizuki and sent him to the police station. Thanks to Detective Keshi, everythings' going peace once again." Yesterday, Goku read a story about Detective Keshi Den solving his cases. He seems to be like it. "I want to read more of his stories. He's awesome!" He stood up from the chair and walked to the door. "Goten, I'm going to the bookstore today! Wanna follow?"

Goten rushed to his brother. "I want to go! I want to go!" The little boy yelled. "Are we going to buy the new DBZ comic??? I think it's not out yet!"

"No, Goten. We're going to buy Detective Keshi's stories! I love how the way he solved the cases and he can tell by the suspects' alibi." Goku told Goten about his wish.

"Oh... I don't know who is Detective Keshi but... I would like to go there with you!" Goten chilled.
Goku smiled then he said, "Alright Goten! Put on your clothes! You can't go there without a T-shirt." Goten was actually wearing a pair of trousers but he forgot to wear his shirt.

"Wha?! Where's my shirt???" He mumbled. "I should wear it!" Goten rushed to his room. Goku was like, "What what?"

"I guess I have to wait for another 3 minutes for Goten to search for his shirt." He sat on the sofa and sighed. He began to see his watch. "Come on, Goten. I just want to buy his stories not comics." He thought sincerely.

"I'm ready!" Goten stared at his brother. "Are we going now?"

Goku was shocked when he saw his brother face in front of him. "Eh? How long did you take to wear a T-shirt?"

"About 3 minutes?" Goten answered while looking at the clock on the wall.

"I knew it..." Goku smirked. "I knew you'll take that for 3 minutes by the way you walked. Huh..."

"Ohh! Good one bro! Okay, I can't wait to go there!" Goten cheered up. "Come on!" He pulled his brother's arm.

"Okay, okay! Calm down, I can walk by myself, Goten." He told Goten. Then Goten let his arm go. "Thank you." Goku started to walk and Goten followed him.

Sashi looked at them. "Where are they going to?" She put her diary on the table in the living room and called them. "Hey! Where are you two going? May I know?!"

Goku and Goten stopped walking. "We're going to the bookstore, do you want to follow us?" Goku asked gently. Goten pulled his brother's shirt. "Brother, we can't bring her too. She'll buy something else." He said with the puppy eyes.

"Eh?" Goku can't get rid of Goten's eyes and agreed to him. "Oh nevermind, Sashi. We'll take you with us later or sooner."

Sashi blinked. "Oh... fine then. I'll cook sushi for you guys tonight. Don't forget to get home soon." She adviced.

"Okay!" Goku pulled Goten's hand to the door.

Meanwhile in the other house...

"Are you sure you left the magazine here?" Kakarot asked his friend who had lost his favourite magazine. "May be it's in your room..."

Turles stood up. "I know I left it here." He looked around in Kakarot's room. He searched under the pillow, on the bookshelf, in the schoolbag, on the cupboard without any result. "I think I left it in my room. Wait." He went to his room as fast as he can. Kakarot sighed. "What the hell is he thinking? Messing up my room!" He stood in front of the bookshelf and kicked it. "This is all your fault!" Suddenly the bookshelf slowly moved from the wall and fell on him. "Okay... it's my fault..."

"I found it!" Turles yelled. He walked to Kakarot's room and saw Kakarot under the bookshelf. "What are you doing down there?" He blinked. "Shut...up... get me out from here!" Kakarot sighed again.

"Oh, sorry. I'll pick you up." He pulled Kakarot's hands. Ring! Ring! The phone rang suddenly. "I'll get it!" Turles let Kakarot's hands go and rushed to the phone call. "T-turles!!! How about me here?! Awh..." His back hurt. Poor him.

"Hey... Kakarot." Turles was back. "I forgot to buy a novel for my friend! Let's go to the bookstore!" He ran away.

Kakarot sighed. "How do I follow you if you're not helping me to get out from here..." He tried to push his body with his hands but it was hard because the shelf was too heavy with the all of the books. He pulled his legs from the shelf but still stuck. His face were all red. "Help...me..."

"Hey Kakarot, are you going or not?" Turles came to the room. "Oh, I forgot about your problem! Let me help you!" He pulled Kakarot's hands once again. This time, he did it. "Huh... that was hard. You are too heavy." He sighed.

"I am not. The shelf is." Kakarot pointed to the bookshelf and tried to stand up. "I guess... I won't be able to follow you, Turles." He sat on the chair.

"No! You must follow me. Come on! You can buy your sketch book there." Turles promised to Kakarot. "Or are you going to have a date with a person you like, so that's why you said you won't be able to follow me?" He stared at Kakarot.

"No!!! I'll follow you!" Kakarot picked up his jacket and wore them. "Let's go!"

"Oh... I got him muahahah!" Turles thought. He looked at Kakarot. "Why are you always wearing jacket although it's a sunny day?" He blinked. "My style..." Kakarot answered. Then he walked to the door. Turles followed him and closed the door.

At the bookstore...

"I want to buy this comic please!" Goten pulled his brother's shirt. "Please!!!"

"No, Goten. We are here to buy my favourite detective's stories not your comics." Goku glared.

"But..." Goten sniffed. Goku sighed. "Okay, fine. You can buy the-" He wasn't finished yet and Goten already had comics in his hug. "Nevermind." Goku faced down then sighed. "Why is he so fast?" He walked to the mystery books section with the weird face.

"I think he is thinking about me." Goten blinked. "Am I too naughty?"

"Yo, fussy kid." Turles pat the little boy's head. "Ahh!!! It's you! The greedy guy!" Goten shouted. All of the comics fell on the floor.

Kakarot sighed. "Greedy?" Turles pinched Goten's cheeks. "Can't you just be quiet...?" He asked softly. "Oww! Don't touch my cheeks!" Goten pushed his hands off.

"Hi golden hair person. I like your hair but I don't like your face." Goten waved at Kakarot. "My... face?" Kakarot showed his puzzled face. "Yeah your-" Goten began to talk but Goku suddenly shut his mouth. "Ehehe! Sorry, he is my brother! I'm sorry if he disturb you." Goku bow. "You too say sorry, Goten." He whispered to Goten. "Sorry..." Goten stopped sudden. "Why should I say sorry to Turles? He was the one who disturb me!" He glared at Turles.

"I didn't do anything. I just pat your head and suddenly you screamed." Turles denied. Goku blinked. He just noticed that Kakarot was standing in front of him. "EH?!!!!!!!!!!" He was really shocked. "What are you doing here!?"

"Ask this dude." Kakarot sighed and pointed to Turles. "What? Why is it always me?" Turles confused. "Bro! See? He even stepped on my comics!" Goten told his brother. Goku looked below Turles. "Oh yes, he is stepping on them."

Turles was really lost. He doesn't know what were Goku talking about. He faced down and found that, the comics were under his feet. "Wha!!! I didn't mean to step on them!" He surprised.

"Bleh! Liar! You stood on my comics!" Goten scold him. Kakarot already knew that Turles stepped on them but he just kept it as a secret. "Haha... idiots..." He thought quietly.

Goku sighed. "Goten... We'll buy another. There are lots of comics sold here..." He pulled his brother's hand and began to walk. "But brother!" Goten suddenly talked. "No... We can find another... the better ones..." Goku walked without looking at Goten. "Brother...?" Goten worried.

"I'll get you later, lame!" He yelled at Turles. "Lame? Awh! That brat!" Turles glared. Then he turned to Kakarot. "Let's go find the novel!" He left the place.

"Goku..." Kakarot worried too. "He didn't want to start a fight. Hmm... may be it would remind him of something..." He thought by himself. He looked at the comics on the floor. Then, he stared at the shelf. "I think he was searching for detective's stories. He seemed to be came from the mystery books section."

"Kakarot!" Turles called him. "I'm heading there now!" Kakarot replied. "I know what do you want... "Detective Keshi Den - The Unexpected Detective Borns!" Everyone in the school seems to be like it a lot. So as I am... I should buy one for him..." Kakarot smiled.

The next day, when the students were having recess...

"Goku..." Kakarot stared at him. "I have something for you."

"What is it?" Goku stopped reading his detective's story book which he bought yesterday.

"Here. I know you wanted the newest version but you bought the past versions." Kakarot showed Goku a book.

Goku surprised. "This is the 67th Chapter... The newest one...! T-thanks! Thank you so much! I'm really grateful of what you've done!" He was very thankful. He hug the story book and shakehands with Kakarot. Kakarot blinked. "I'm glad he is way too happy." He smiled.
